Ok that's just me bored at 3am. I haven't been sleeping well lately, there's ALOT of things going through my mind and it has been stressing the hell out of me. I get so tired but every time I lay down I start thinking again and there goes sleep. It's so bad I started relying on sleeping pills!! 

I guess everyone goes through this stage of their life. The road to self discovery! I'm almost 24, and it's about time I figure out where i'd like to be in my life- career, lovelife, and just life in general. Ohhhh mann, stressing out just thinking about it right now. I'm going to stop now, I hope you enjoy this video though... I promise a decent blog post is coming up soon!

Mary Grace

So this is what they call a "#feelingfoodblogger" blog post hehe. If you can't tell already, one of the things I love doing is eating and documenting it has long become a fun (and annoying) habit.

A few days ago I was introduced to Cafe Mary Grace at Greenbelt Makati by a new friend of mine. I immediately fell in love with the quaintness of the place but the fooood... omg.. I brought Yuki back there again the next day hahaha.

 

The unique ceiling lights made me feel like I was in a Harry Potter movie, Ron's house to be exact.

For starters we ordered the Cheddar Cheese with Tomatoes & Capers dip with Toast (P139). It pretty much reminds me of Bruschetta, tasted something like it too- just cheesier.

Pasta Amatriciana with Italian Meatballs (P210). This was Yuki's order and he enjoyed it. He said he chose it because it was the only thing in the menu that says: "For meat lovers" LOL. Anyways I tried it and I loved it as well, it was the second pasta I've tried in their menu and so far so good!


Mary Grace Caesar Salad (P175). Whenever I am on a diet and Caesar Salad is on the menu, trust that I will be ordering that one. I was going to say good things about this one because the grilled chicken was the best I've tasted, but I had food poisoning that night- and I blame this :(

It was probably just my luck, but I won't be recommending this dish to anyone.

Sangria Homemade Ice Tea (P224) is a refreshing Red Tea with a hint of citrus and other ingredients. Not sure about what the other ingredients are (i'm just copying what was written on their menu, lol) but this is my new favorite drink in the Philippines... uhh.... okay second to my green mango shake :)

Last order of that night was Mary Grace's pride; Grilled Ensaymadas (P73) / Cheese Bread in English. 

It was what made me come back again really. It is that good, it's addicting. Perfect amount of sweetness, and i'm already craving for one right now as I'm typing this. Definitely must try when you are in Manila!

Hi from Manila!

Starting my new journey back here with my loved ones whom I’ve neglected for months now. I spent the next couple of days eating all my favorite Pinoy foods here in “the land of pork” and basically just enjoying my time with everyone back home.

I’m a firm believer that with the highest of highs come the lowest of lows. While spending an afternoon at the mall with my family last Saturday afternoon, I had my wallet stolen from me. It is one of those situations where you had to be there, to understand just how unexpected it was. Not to mention the ninja skills the thief must have to have taken my wallet out of my bag without me even realizing it. I only realized that my wallet’s gone (along with my IDs, bank cards and cash) upon reaching home :S

I feel like I purged every stress and worry instantly during that following day, and hopefully paid karma ahead for a wonderful trip from here on in. I spent the next day wandering Manila feeling refreshed and extremely grateful for how lucky I am and how things could always have been so much worse. I’m hanging on to a comforting reminder of a quote I always say that how this could be “a blessing in disguise” ☺

Room Update

I've always postponed posting this post because i'm always decorating my room. I always feel like I need to do something like add a piece of furniture or change the curtain etc. But I guess you could never be really done, if you are like me who gets bored so easily. Although now I guess i've already come to a point of satisfaction because this is how my room has been for a few months now :) So without further a do, here's my room tour (after cleaning it up "a little" hehe).

I got the smallest room in the house, which only make sense since I didn't have to share my room with anyone. (Perks of growing up with 3 brothers and being the only girl). It also didn't come with an airconditioner so I had to have one installed. But I've got the best view in the house :D

Sunday = Football Day... just sayin. I don't know how i'm going to describe the style i'm going for my room. I love shabby chic rooms, but I guess it didn't quite end up like it. lol. I get too distracted when I go room deco shopping, that I just ended up getting stuffs I think looked nice. So I guess my room style is just me, filled with stuffs that I love and interested in.

   

I used to have a queen size bed. But after adding a few more furnitures in my room, I had no choice but to downsize. This used to be my brother's bed. It comes with a pull out, so I could still have friends / family come sleep over. White Sheets from IKEA. (Oh and most of the stuff you'll see are also from IKEA. A friend of mine did mentioned how my room reminds her of an IKEA showroom lol)

My circular side table is an attempt to not make my room look square. On it I have this fake roses that my boyfriend gave me, I can't be bothered with real flowers because they die too soon, my pre-

bedtime essentials: Sleeping mist from the Body Shop, Victoria Secret lotion given by a friend, my bedtime storybook so I dream of Christian Grey.

 

Here is my vanity / work station. On top of the shelf are files for my bills, other useful documents and medical books for work. My cupcake bank, Framed pictures, and my grand dad's old camera. 

On the desk of course are my everyday hair and skin care routine and make-up which I might do a more detailed post on.



Next to my vanity is my little entertainment corner. Growing up it was a dream to have a TV in my own room, so that was my first splurge when I got a job. And it's white! ♥ ♥ ♥ It's not connected to the cable, so I download my favourite TV shows and movies to my hard drive and Apple Tv to watch. Watching The Big Bang Theory while working on this post.

 The little white box is my speakers/radio and it conveniently charges my phone too.

Finally - My Wardrobe and Shoes.

 


My wardrobe is from the owner of this house, it was already here before we moved in and we're not allowed to throw it away, so I have no choice but to make do. It houses my dresses, and the side I put my bags. When my grandfather visited Singapore earlier this year I got him to attach that hook for my necklaces. I used to just hang them on the knobs of my wardrobe, but then Mia (my little sister) became bigger and started pulling on them.

I had to get this 3 chest drawers from Ikea when my clothes started getting too many for my lonely closet. I try so hard to make the top look pretty, it's an OCD. My entire room can be messy but this top drawer is always maintained clean. The cupcake stand is perfect in holding my everyday accessories.
I love this drawer because it has a secret compartment inside where I keep my sunglasses, other jewelries and jewellery boxes- Here.

Starting A New.

Hey Guys!! Let me start this blog rolling again with a very wordy post ...

If you are following me instagram you would have already known that i've finally decided to take the leap of faith hahaha (: 

It wasn't an easy decision. It took a whole lot of guts to hand in that resignation. I mean right from the start I have always felt like that's what I need to do to be truly happy, then again I was at a very comfortable place in my life. I was getting used to my job, getting along well with the colleagues, the pay every month was more than enough for me to lead a very comfortable lifestyle with my monthly shopping spree. However I still feel like i'm meant to do so much more than just be a nurse... and I am not getting any younger!!

Oh, just in case you didn't know, yes I was working as a full time pediatric nurse- because I love kids that much lol.  

Of course I didn't get the support I wanted from my family and a few friends, but I completely understand why. I have a decent paying stable job and common sense tells me that it is stupid to risk exchanging it for something that's not. 

I love this show. But here's the point- like them Croods, I could spend my life either sheltered in a cave or I could go out there and explore what else life has to offer. Both choices would kill you anyway, however one makes life more worth it. 

See it's so easy for us to just choose the "easy" way of life, even if at times it sacrifice us of our true happiness because we're afraid of what the future holds. Right now i'm just taking advantage of the fact that I am a young single adult to go on this risky journey. I mean if I fail, I fail on my own- I really have nothing to lose. This is a luxury I know I won't have again as I grow older and start to have my own family. 

What I will be doing for now is for now a secret. I don't really want to share it to the world just yet because I don't need the negative vibes. I'm sure you understand that it took me a whole lot of courage to take this step in my life and I can't really handle people putting me down right now, and telling me i'm not going to make it. Soon though you'll know 😏

And so to end this wordy post, live your dream and take the risk no wise man has ever told me that it won't be worth it :)

PS: I do realise it's been almost a year that i'm gone but I'm thinking of moving to a new blog, i'll keep you guise updated! Love.

Spring Colors is still IN!

Hey there! I can't believe it's been almost a month since my last update :( I'm horrible at this!! But i'm not even going to start explaining. I've used up every possible explanation there is, so i'll just carry on with my long overdue blogpost.

2 days ago, I was at MBS (again). I decided to wear my mint green pants paired with pink peplum top for that smart casual look. Majority of the restaurants in MBS would require you to be in such dress codes. I decided to put my hair into a scorpion braid so I don't look like a mess with my hair all over the place!!

I'm so happy I got those flats for 10bucks! I've been looking for that classic pair in a longest time but all were over 20! It's absurd to spend 40 bucks on a pair of flats I think, so I never bought one. But when I saw this pair on the sale rack and the only one left in my size I gave no second thoughts, they have matching clutch too! Hehe. I LOVE SALES!!

Hello Lovelies! Look at what finally came in my mail today ...

I used to shop online a lot! Used to because I stopped after being disappointed twice... thrice... many times!! The clothes always looks so good online, but when my packages arrived, I am disappointed with the ill fitting clothes and cheap fabrics :(

Then a friend of mine introduced ASOS. It is an online shop from UK, selling the latest trends at affordable prices with great return policy too! But still being on the safe side I decided to forgo clothes and indulge myself on accessories and shoes :D
