PALAWAN (Part 1)

WHAT'S UP ?!

Seems like forever but I am back and FINALLY blogging about my recent trip to Palawan.

I am so sorry it took this long :P

Palawan is just one of the many islands in the Philippines, and out of all the places i've visited there I say it is the best so far! Home of lofty mountains, rain forests, white sand beaches and crystal clear water abound with many colorful fishes and corals... there is just no words to describe how beautiful Palawan is. It was a sweet 3 day escape from the hustle and bustle of the city :)

.... i am feeling so wistful right now, I want to go back!! anyway, here goes ...

DAY 1:

0500 am morning call to catch the earliest flight to Puerto Princesa, mainland of Palawan.

We so excited! No make-up and No sleep!

:P Toilet = Comfort Room, Do you agree?

Love and I decided to fly with ZestAir despite the saying that it's noisy compared to Cebu Pacific, but heck, we saved so much more and it was only a 45 minute flight. Honestly there isn't any difference.

Rainy weather in Manila, I thought our trip was going to be ruined!

GOODBYE MANILA!! :D

HELLO PARADISE!! A total huge difference from the city and I was so thankful for the good weather while we were there!

Definitely deserves the title of Top 20 Best Destinations in the World!

While there we stayed at Microtel Inn & Suites, I told the travel agency that I wanted a place near the beach and this what they suggested.

It's about 20 minutes from the airport and shops, and it's a little secluded. Top Right is the road out, there's no street lamps so there's no way you could walk out at night! And there's no public transport coming in- very private!

We depended on their shuttle service to take us whenever, they had very flexible timings so that was great :)

The lobby gives a very Philippine feel with all the rattan furnitures. Our room on the other hand is quite modern. Two thumbs up for the spacious room and a microwave oven!

I LOVE it that it has 2 big beds! Yuki and I got one each!

So cute. Every room has a complimentary OFF! Which came very useful when taking a night stroll at the beach :D

Private Beach:

Water is crystal clear and Star Fish everywhere!!

Headed back to our room before noon to prepare for lunch and our city tour.

Puerto Princesa main means of transportation is the Tricycle. It's color coded too; White and Blue both are allowed to drive during Sundays, on other days it's blue and white alternate to reduce traffic :D

The lady seems to have a problem with my short skirt :P

Over there they sell Pearls like crazy! South China Sea Pearls can go for as low as 180 pesos! ($6) And those are real genuine pearls! Heard they have a pearl farm in Palawan which is why they are sold so cheap! I would have bought one if I knew it's real Pearls that they were selling.

Heard this place weaves placemats for Calvin Klein! The place provides jobs for housewives and students on their holiday, support!

They use long grass and some other leaves to create bags, hats, wallets etc. And if you think weaving is easy, well you are wrong. A very good hand and legs coordination is definitely a must! Yuki and I decided to give it a try and I had enough after a few minutes.

Super beautiful! We couldn't leave the place empty handed. Props to the workers, they are extremely talented!

After a long day we came back with bags of food! Hahaha. Hotel food was really expensive, so we took the opportunity of being in the city to do some grocery shopping! :P

Dress was from Bugis Street for only $12! I love the color and the texture of this dress, this could easily be sold in a department store for a higher price!

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to preview Maxstudio's 2011 Fall Collection at Orchard Paragon. It was a much simpler affair as compared to Topshop's Fall Collection preview, limited guests and a smaller runway but nonetheless it gave me the same satisfaction.

Month of October Packed with Fashion Shows! Setting the mood for 2011 Women's Fashion Week? :D

My brother and I were one of the few early birds there, and we were kept occupied by the trays of good finger foods and champagnes:)

I tried their bacon and crackers, bruschetta and their desserts. All was nice, but this strawberry tart was my favorite! I kept wishing that the waiter holding on to the dessert tray would come by and offer me more sweet treats, unfortunately he only came twice :(

When I first received the invitation I immediately did my research on MAXSTUDIO.com (it was the first time I heard of the brand :P) MaxStudio was first started by Leon Max in 1979! It reflects the fashion standards of modern women and focuses on head turning shapes and silhouettes for any occasion.

I immediately fell in love with their dresses in their online store www.maxstudio.com. They looked even better live on those skinny models!

I'm obsessed with those flowy maxi dresses & the shoes- OMG!! Clothes were quite pricey though, very much comparable to Marks and Spencer.

I love fashion shows! During a fashion show, clothes turns to art and it is then that you could really appreciate the works of a designer. Definetely much better than just seeing it hang in a store.

October is soon to end, I thank god for giving me so much on my birthday month!! Of course the best part was my little sister. Such a blessing to have an angel in our house and she will be making debut in my blog soon, so be sure to wait for that :)

TOPSHOP TOPMAN Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection

Last week I was invited to the launch of TOPSHOP & TOPMAN's Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection, a fantastic start to my birthday month! :D

I was kind of bummed out because I was not able to attend the Primetime Fall Fashion at Avalon, but this totally made up for it! The event was held outside ION and the set up was just great. Like TOPSHOP- it was simple but enough to make you go "wow".

Of course I don't think anything is complete without:

FOOD! Was welcomed by friendly ushers and was served with POPCORNS, Coke, Ice-Cream and Cheese on Sticks before guests settled down for the show.

During the whole show I was more fascinated at how perfect the models look, I watch them with envy at how well they walk in heels and how tall they were. Thanks to my brother who did a not bad of job photographing them models so I could actually admire the clothes and styles after.

This are just a few of my favourite styles. For autumn, socks are very in! not just for the ladies but them men as well. Look it! AM I THE ONLY ONE LOVING THE KNEE LENGTH SOCKS?!?! Definetely one piece i'm going to try and rock this season! :D For now I need to stop here and go to bed.

Piolo Pascual's Album Launch

I have had a crush on him since god knows when so I was ecstatic when my dad told me that he would be coming to Singapore, I literally shouted my lungs out. And my parents was ever so sweet to help get me the tickets :)

So yesterday I checked one of the item in my "Things I need to do before I die" List, or in short my Bucket List, because last night I met one of my favorite artiste in the Philippines; Mr. Piolo Pascual :D

I had to rush down right after work to catch his concert, spend the last of my pay and now i'm totally penny less but it was definetely worth it!

The night was filled with romance and so much energy as different artists serenades the audience with hit songs from the Philippines ..

She is so cute and bubbly in real life, down to earth and super friendly! I'm an instant fan :)

Then finally the star of the night :D

OMG, and the ladies around me went insane! Squeezing and shouting. It was crazy, i had to go back and sit.. after I got to touch him too of course ;) haha.

Saw my "Ate(s)" from CGH! :D It was good seeing them again after a long time!

I got to meet and greet Piolo after the concert and it was more than a dream come true! Not only did I met one of the most beautiful man made on earth, I got to kiss him too! *Blushh* I am stil on cloud nine...

Decided to bring my brother out to get new clothes because he needs it, but the only thing that caught his eyes was this pair shoes. H&M has really cute clothes for toddlers but not so much for kids his age :( OH WELLS, at least he went home happy :)

Last Friday's Project

One thing that interest me other than fashion is interior design. Honestly if i'm more talented in art and have a brain flowing with creativity, Architecture and Interior Design would probably be my chosen career. Unfortunately though, I didn't get my dad's talent in drawing.

Nontheless I love decorating rooms, especially my room. And after so many years of contemplating on whether I should paint my room, I finally decided to get rid of the blue walls and paint it :D

This was the inspiration:

Yes, Pink. I thought i've matured, I thought I wanted Beige and Red walls, I was wrong. And I wanted that exact color combination! I asked the man if they have that silver-y pink color and he looked at me weirdly and said no and broke my heart...

I took pictures of the men painting my room but I can't find it anymore :(
So i'd have to cut this blog post short and just show you guys the end product.

That's my favourite thing in my room (next to my shoes), my grandfather's camera. Vintage.

I wish I can do more but this is not our house, painting is the best change I can have. I can't wait for the day I have my own place which is very very very soon... I hope :D

My Everyday Make-up

I was never a fan of heavy make-up, especially when I live in a country where it's hot and humid 90% of the time. However who likes going out of their house looking like a zombie, with pale face and dark eye bags for the world to see?? So here's me sharing my everyday make-up routine:

I'm sorry if my make-up looks unpresentable, these products are over-used! :P

1. BB creams / Tinted Moisturiser.
This will even out your skin tone without making you feel like you're wearing anything on your face. I leave my foundation for night-out or special occasions because I find that too heavy. Daytime I like to keep it simple so i'm good to go with this and a compact powder just because I have oily skin.

2.Smashbox High Defination Concealer
Or any concealer you prefer. I put this around my eyes and not just under because i find the colour of eyeshadows becomes brighter. Use a concealer too to hide any redness or pimples since BB Creams does not give you a full coverage.

3. BodyShop Face and Lips Tint.
I tried this 3 years ago from a friend and I was sold! This looks really natural on the skin, people would ask if you just went suntanning.

4. Fasio Triple Eyeshadow
My favourite eyeshadow colour is light pink, gives me a fresher look and brightens up my eye

5. Red Earth Eyeliner
I put this on my top eyelids to give an illusion of fuller eyelashes and just halfway across my lower lid, though i wouldn't really recommend it because it's those eyeliner that smudges really really easily. If you know of an eyeliner that doesn't smudge do tell me, i have been looking for one for forever!

6. Maybelling Stiletto Mascara
Love this, I probably have to run to the store to get another because i'm running out. I don't put mascara on an everyday basis cause it is such a pain to remove them but if you want bigger eyes, go ahead and use it. It definetely makes a difference.

7. Revlon in Blush and Victoria Secret Lipgloss in baby pink
My favourite combination for my lips is these two. Gives my lips a slight touch of pink colour, perfect for everyday basis.

Of course one very important thing that i didn't mention here is Sunscreen! Protect your skin from Mr. Sun to maintain that youthful healthy skin :)

Unfortunately I was not the first few in line who got the $250 voucher. To those who got it really deserves it though- they started queuing from 7pm the night before the opening! :O I can't compete with that!

And the que just got longer and longer, by 9am it was from there:

till __________! I'll let your imagination decide :P

I'm so lucky I didn't have to que that line! Got a fast access into H&M thanks to the security, and my brother maybe :)

Live Mannequins strolling around....

H&M offers fashionable clothes for everyone! And great return policy too! Long que for the fitting room? Well you don't have to waste your time queuing, because you can exchange items within 30 days or return it and GET YOUR MONEY BACK! How awesome?

And that's exactly what we did because the line for the fitting rooms was impossible! Grab the stuffs we like, paid for it and tried it at home instead. Fortunately i got my sizes right, everything looks great and I only have one thing in my shopping bag that needs to be returned :D

We've got small, medium, large bags! I am one happy girl :)

But my favourite purchase .....

SHOEGASM! It was made for me! The only one left in the rack and my size! Tell me it wasn't meant to be! The rest of my purchases will be shown in future "outfit of the day" (:

Chips and Chocolates

Choc Nut has got to be one of my favorite childhood treat and Piatos (cheese flavor previously, BBQ now). I've been craving for this junk food ever since my last vacation in the Philippines on April! So much thanks to Yuki Hanz for sending some over. On one condition though, that I double time in the gym! Hahaha. Well I'm trying!

Actually I've never been more active! I go to fitness first and I love that they offer variety of classes. My favorite are Hot Yoga, Pilates, and Weight lifting. Shock? yea I bet you have your mouth wide open right now! I never really love exercising because it is such a pain in the butt, literally, but those classes I've grown to enjoy and love! And I'm even more motivated right now because all I ever hear coming out of people's mouth is how much I've put on weight! It's starting to kill my confidence! Plus it gets harder to lose weight once you get older, so I start now. I wish I could have more time to workout though, my work schedule is not cooperating :(

It's been raining consecutively for 2 days here in Singapura, i'm so happy I finally had the chance to wear my wellies out (:

It's hard to dress up for a rainy day but with the right clothings it can be fun too! Bad weather can be depressing, so add a pop of color to your outfit! Also umbrellas don't only help you stay dry, it can be a great fashion accessories so get a cute one.

PS: Kiddie umbrellas are for adults too ;)

Went with my mom all they way to Jurong East today to visit the Esprit Outlet at IMM. I saw these heels a while ago at Tampines, didn't buy them then because it was over a hundred bucks! Today I saw it again at the outlet selling only for $50! WIN :D

I'm so excited I had to show them off straight away, so here's an outfit of the day :)

The heels are a little too big, it was the smallest size left but I like it too much to care. Hehe.

I'm very excited because this is such a fun topic to talk about. Some boring dude or dudette would retaliate by saying "Pft! Prom only, no big deal" - Go live your life in some dusty old closet and stop messing with other people's fun!

& HOW CAN IT NOT BE A BIG DEAL TO ANYONE?! Honestly people Prom is a BIGGER deal than your own wedding! Think about it, you can get married more than once in your life (though hopefully it doesn't turn out that way for you) but Prom is once in your lifetime!

Unless you repeat high school over and over again or you go to a Junior College or Polytechnic or University and have another there, but we all know those won't be the same as Highschool Prom.

So Dress your very best and Enjoy every minute of it! :D

Speaking of Dress, ladies here are some tips:

As much fun Prom will be, the whole process of finding what to wear can be such a hassle so don't wait till the last minute to find the right outfit! Start NOW!

Dress according to the Prom Theme. If it's Ebony or Ivory wear white or black outfit, if it's masquerade don't forget your mask! Etc.

Ladies, choose a dress age appropriate. Yes long dresses looks stunning and sophisticated but it can make you look old, unless it's a Princess Dress

Short dress > Long dress if you would be dancing.

Go bold with your choice. Go over the top and don't be boring! the more sequins / crazier design the better!

What's in my Shower Basket?

A Shower Basket is the new trend... at least in my house. It is a necessity when you have 8 people sharing 1 bathroom (for ~~selfish~~ hygiene purposes please!) OR when like me, you get too lazy to shower sometimes- a basket filled with good smelling goodies definitely helps motivate!

1. Essential Damage Care Nauncy Airy Shampoo & Conditioner.
The shampoo smells of Vodka Orange, in a good way. I like it and the packaging. Although I have not notice anything special to my hair :S

2. Lush Soap Bar: Bohemian.
I LOVE LUSH! Too bad we don't have this in Singapore (WHY???!!) but my Boyfie was sweet enough to send some over :} This Bohemian Soap is my everyday soap, it has lemon oil to tone and cleanse the skin. Not really loving the smell though.

3. Body Shop Wild Cherry Shower Gel.
I use this shower gel on days i feel down. The sweet smell picks me up, pity the smell don't lingers on my skin.

4. Body Shop Passion Fruit Body Scrub.
Want your skin to glow? Drink water, moisturise, and exfoliate one a week!

5. Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser.
Ok! So I bought this just so i could get free stuffs in Body Shop, but i've grown to love it! I noticed my face to be clearer, brighter like it says.

6. PH Care Pink Passion.
GIRLS! If you don't have this or Lactacid, then i'm doing your boyfriend or husband a favour by saying, please you need this! Away with fishy vaginas!!

7. Intuition Razor.
With this razor you don't need a shaving cream. It comes with a moisturising bar ladies. Hairless and Soft legs, it's the best of both worlds.

8. Pink Body Shop Exfoliating Towel.
I know this is too harsh for the skin to be used everyday, but how does one feel clean without it?!

This is becoming a habit. I blog, I stop, then I go back to blogging again.

1. I finished my attachment and graduated since then
2. BF came to visit me here last March, like finally, i've been waiting forever
3. I've started working (not enjoying this at all!)

HAPPY BELATED THANKSGIVING DAY EVERYONE.

I'm aware Singaporeans are not so much familiar with this holiday. Thanksgiving Day is one of the holidays celebrated in America/Canada, it is as important as Christmas and is celebrated on every fourth thursday of November. It is a day where family and friends feast over good food and say thanks for whatever blessings they had that year.

My family (not being an American) don't religiously celebrate it, but this year is special because my dad's birthday falls on the same day. It's a tradition started when he was just a little boy. Dad was born on November 25 1965, thursday. Ever since, my grandparents would cook turkey and lots of food whenever his birthday falls on thanksgiving :)

Growing up in Singapore where everyone is almost as fortunate as the others, it's hard to see what you can be really thankful for. As a child i have always been asking for more and my grandparents would always say i should be thankful for what i already have, that i shouldn't compare myself to anyone because i am blessed enough.

I've always felt like they were just saying that till I've actually seen people sleep on streets, little children begging for money, simple things like chocolates treated as luxuries. And ever since i've been thankful for the easy life that i have though it is not always shining shimmering splendid :)

Date Night with the Family.

Last night we celebrated my brother Jez's birthday over Japanese dinner and a movie after. Such a simple affair although it is quite a big deal for all of us, especially for him, that he's hitting another milestone in his life.

HARRY POTTER and the Deathly Hallows was AWESOME!!!!

Honestly, I wasn't excited to catch this show. I was a huge Harry Potter fan when i was little because i had this major crush on Daniel Radcliffe :P, but after Chamber of Secrets when he starts to look old and the original Dumbledore died i grew tired of watching it. Plus, the storyline wasn't as good (except Goblet of Fire), it starts to become more action and less magical. So i stopped catching it in Cinema. Thank You Channel 5 for the HP marathon, so i could catch up.

It was my brilliant mom's idea to watch the show. She was so enthusiastic about so we thought why not? And i'm glad we did!!! The movie was so riveting i was holding my breath the entire time. And the free wand sets the mood even better :D

I'm not going to ruin it for those who have not watched it yet (YOUSHOULD!!), so here's the trailer..

I CAN NOT WAIT FOR PART 2!!! (Tip: be sure to catch half blood prince first to prevent "huhs?" in the cinema and irritate your friend who knows it all) Alrighty, that's it.

Why do I have this application in my phone?

I can't remember why I bought it, it's difficult to blog on the go and when I'm at home I am provided with a bigger screen to blog. So what was my good reason for charging it to my credit card?!

Nothing. But instead of whining about my irresponsible spending habit, it'd be alot better if I just make a good use out of it. I shall blog more using iPhone :)

I am so proud of Yuki, he is finally making his dreams come true by having his own business. Wishing him all the best with it!!

The previous birthday pictionary post has an explanation behind it. There was so many things I wanted to say but i couldn't get my sentence/words out right BUT unlike yesterday i'm actually feeling quite chatty today.

So yes i am finally TwentyOne - a Legal Adult :)

Everyone is pressured to have an extravagant twenty first party, i wanted one too, but for me to force it out from my parents would be really selfish. Therefore i welcomed adulthood in the simplest way possible but the surprises, pressents, and the avalanche of birthday greetings made my twenty first birthday extra special.

My birthday celebration started unexpectedly the week before my birthday. On friday my Clinical instructor and school mates surprised me at work with a mini pink Hello Kitty cake and a birthday card :) Of course I was really touched, i've only known those people for less than a month! Twas a really good move to start work and the weekend. I was all smile after and excited for my birthday weekend haha.

Saturday was spent with my closest friends over a Korean BBQ, yeaps their idea. They love it but i'm not sure it's my favourite. Kind of new to my tastebuds maybe, but it wasn't that bad though if you ask me I still prefer Japanese. I love that we had a room to ourselves, makes the gathering more intimate and it was really sweet for the guys to come too. I thought it would be just us girls :P After that it was K-oke till the early morns. Fun :D

My big day! Had to head to work early in the a.m. I togeher with Syakirah ordered Pizzas for everyone for lunch. Then probably the best surprised ever, my brother came to the hospital to give me flowers hahaha! It was from love :) Thank you boys ..

After work I got my little alone time so i decided to head to church. Stayed at the empty chapel to give thanks to my creator. 21 years of my life, i have always been comfortable, never have to work hard for money, most of the time getting what i want. I've been truly blessed, and all thanks to him :) love you lord so much.

& then my birthday dinner. My family brought me to a brazilian restaurant Carnivore, recommended by dad. It's a meat and salad buffet, not your ordinary buffet Carnivore's set up was pretty interesting and the ambience- beautiful. My mom was such a sweetie, she made sure my little wishes was forfilled like my Birthday Cupcakes haha. I love my family!!

OH OCTOBER!

I love my pancakes soaked with syrup! yum.

I am proud to say that for the past few days now i've been preparing my own breakfast. I am not a professional cook yet, but i'm trying & maybe next time i'll start preparing lunch too :)

October is a start of the eventful months ahead! With mine, families, friends and love's birthday, halloween, christmas and new year.. it's starting to become really stressful for me, but i can't wait!

Turned out he's been routinely saying it to me before he goes to bed, which i never knew about because usually i'm already in Coma by the time he decides to call it a night :)

Was browsing through some fashion site today, when i came across this & i've just got to share ..

Behold the coolest thing ever, MODEL-MORPHOSIS.

Model Morphosis is a series of model transformation (before and after make-up application) captured by photographer Greg Kessler from a few of the designer's runway. I was entertained for hours just dragging the sliders back and forth to observe the smallest details in the model's make up. All the while in awe by how much make-up can transform a person from blah to fab.

So i suggest you try it too. It is obsessively fun :D

Hello everyone! :)

It's Sunday already, an end to a week or a beginning to a new one?? Whatever it is, it was a good last week and hopefully the coming week would be equally good or better!

So much has happened in the pas weeks that I've not talked about here in my blog yet, but maybe you would have known from twitter and FB.

A dear friend Asaph turned 21 last Friday? And it was a good to have almost everyone in a group to hang altogether again :)) (pictures in fB)

And last Friday also (September 3) was Mine and love's monthsary, for the 29th time :) an achievement really worth celebrating! If you've watched "Going the Distance" you'd get the idea of how difficult it is! And honestly this relationship wouldn't have lasted this long if not for him, because I'm always the weaker one :P & I'm not an easy girlfriend, I know I can be really demanding, spoiled, impatient and a real bitch so bravo yuki for putting up with me! Haha!

Yesterday, Ched and I played tour guide to my aunt and her fellow colleagues. They work for one of the famous attorny in the Philippines- Attorny Joji Alonso. She's the lawyer of some of the biggest stars in the Phil. and it's a real honour to be able to know some of the people who works for her. Had lunch with a few of the other lawyers in her firm, one is John Lloyd's aunt, and her daughter who was really really simple but with definite class. Felt really inferior to be around "big" people like that but at the same time inspired to be as successful as them! Right Ched? :P I wish he'd pursue law too! Because he's wayy too smart to be Chef!

Anyway walked from 9 to 9, literally, yesterday! Tried to cover most of the tourist spots here in Singapore. Pictures again in facebook but here's one just for this blog :P ...

Leaving Philippines With a Heavy ♥

I was fortunate enough to have Yuki spend the whole day with me before I bade farewell and hopped on my flight back home..

You would expect me to get used to our situation by now but i'm far from that. In fact, as time pass it gets harder for me to leave. & I miss that boy soo much now, i can't get over it just yet :((

Times like this I am realllyy thankful to have the bestest friends around and my family :)

Last night I made a little trip to Geylang Serai with my mom, Ched and Miel. They were looking for a new carpet for my bro's new room and I was in the mood for some Ramly Burgers :D

The Night Market at Geylang was the best i've ever been to yet. It was so colourful and i found some pretty neat stuffs that i've never seen being sold at the other Night Markets i've been to. And it wass HUGE!!

I can just imagine how pretty Malay houses' would look during Hari Raya.

Sup!

Like my new blog look? :) I doo.. ! And thanks love for the new banner :D I actually pretty much designed it but i owe to him for teaching me how to work with adobe photoshop :P

People are starting to go back to blog these days so no way am i going to be left out. I cant promise that i would be updating religiously but blame Jack Dorsey for Twitter!

Well well well.. in case you guys still don't know i am back in the Philippines right now. I wish i could say for good but nahh, I will be back in Singapore again on August 30 so don't miss me too much!

It was a really spontaneous trip back. The plan was i'd go back this coming November but stuffs happened and i really needed the break from it all. So i packed my bag (5kg of clothes) head to the airport and got myself on a flight back home. I didn't even inform my parents till after i bought the tickets :P

That was probably the most spontaneous thing i've ever done in my life! But every choices in my life has always been planned making my life safe and predictable= boring! It's good once in a while we get out of our comfort zone and do something really outrageous. Like temporarily elope with your bf hahaha!

I didn't do that of course. I would but my bf is too chicken! I actually wanted to go back to Boracay but i didn't have enough money saved and Yuki worries too much. Tsk!

Goodbye 2009, HELLO 2010!!!

Hello my lovelys. Welcome to my first blog post of the year! :D

I'm quite sad that Christmas is over... But happy that it's already the New Year! Though i'm not really feeling like it's already the NEW Year, cause everything is pretty much the same as it was before.. and i am still thinking of new goals i want to set for the year 2010. lol!

Ushering in the New Year with a nice quiet dinner with my family.

Of course there's the New Year Celebration with the friends but unfortunately that batch of photos are lost.. wasted. But it's okay i guess.. there's still CNY!

Looking back at my New Year's Resolution for 2009. Those are really crappy New Year's Resolutions i admit.

And sad to say Procrastinating is a bad habbit i have yet to get rid off... I'm still trying to master the art of managing time... I didn't go to Thailand... I did however became vainer... 2009 was spent most of the time at home, so i guess i did manage to spend more time with my family and love but kinda neglected my friends :( (But friends did also neglect me! Blame the boyfriends!! hehe)

Overall, i guess 2009 was a very memorable year! Of course bad stuff happened which really pushed me to my limit but i thank god for all the blessings that he have given me also :)

BORA PART 2!

It has been more than 2 months since my last update on this :P. I am such a procrastinator! Oh and i just found out there's no such word as "procrastinator". Been using that word alot and it doesn't even exist; I feel so stupid.

Anyway...

Day 2 in Boracay. Got up really early for island hopping/sight seeing.

Bora's famous white sand, which they said never get hot no matter how hot the weather is. Not really true.. the sand was quite warm that day like the sand in Sentosa.

The scenery was really beautiful. We stopped for some snorkelling too, too bad i don't have one of those camera you can bring underwater :( and i lost one of my earing while in the water.

My mom was not really happy when she found out. She asked why i need to wear earings while swimming. I told her i look like a guy when i don't. It's true!

&& I finally tried baking! 2 things to be proud and happy about hehe. Not bad for starters i must say. It actually turned out edible! Haha :D

MY BAKING ESCAPADE:

I baked STRAWBERRY JELLO CHEESECAKE for our special day.

Couldn't think of any other cake that would suit the occasion. I love cheesecakes & love couldn't get enough of strawberries! It's the perfect combo!

The ingredients:

Milk, Cheese, Butter, Crackers, Sugar, Gelatine, Food Coloring.. and not forgetting the strawberries!

Picked out the prettiest strawberries among the pack :)

Step 1:

Making the crust..

Step 2: The Cheesecake layer!!

Pour it in the container with the crust and chill..

Step 3: Wash & Cut the Strawberries.

Carefully arrange the strawberries on the cake

Pour the Jell-O mixture on it

Chill for a few hours and wala!

Ready to be served! :D

Eh sadly mine didn't turned out as pretty as that one, so i didn't bother taking a photograph of mine. Lol! The Jell-o ruined it! I bought the wrong Jello ingredient :(

Oh wells, practice makes perfect...

Baking was fun!! I finally got myself a new hobby. Expect more sweet creations to come! :)

I attended my first Indian Wedding :)

I couldn't take pictures though because i thought i charged my camera, turned out i didn't. Don't ask..

What a waste! I felt really bad for being so stupid. It was really beautiful! The wedding was so colourful.

If only marriage itself would always be as beautiful.

PS: I know i promised Borocay part 2 ten million years ago. But i have yet to resize the pictures. No time no time no time! I'll try to finish them this weekend.

I AM BACK !!!

About a week ago actually, but i was welcomed by a very hectic schedule therefore not having the chance to blog. I was all prepared to go to school last monday, until a friend told me that we are having a month long attachment instead! BUMMER! Really "nice" way to start the year!

I MISS THE PHILIPPINES ALREADY! :(

To make up for everything, daddy surprised me with a new laptop :D Finally! Hahaha. I Love him so much!

While in the Philippines, I visited the wonderful island of Boracay! It the cherry on top of an awesome holiday. Too bad love and the rest of my family couldn't go.

My dad got jealous so we're planning on going there again this December, as a family! Hopefully my schedule allows :)

BORACAY

PART І:

Day 1:

A 45 min plane ride to Kalibo from Manila.

The day before was my grandad's birthday celebration, I didnt bother sleeping to catch our 8 am flight! The 45 min plane ride was convenient for a short nap :P

After 45 min, we reach Kalibo!

I was shocked when i saw their conveyor belt! Even more shocked when i saw this...

Turned out the conveyor belt was not working and we have to take our luggage from the little vehicle! My mom got all panicky when she couldn't find her luggage. Funny experience! hahaha. Lesson learned to handcarry your bags!

And she found it!! :D

Then we had to take a 2 hour long coach ride to Caticlan. It's comfortable and air conditioned, plus the scenary is great! So no complains.

I thought we're gonna be taking those kind of boat, ended up taking an enclosed one which really got me all dizzy! Thank god it's a short ride.

We stayed at The Tides Hotel, while there. It has a very good location, 5 mins away from the beach and it is surrounded by shops and restuarants.

IT IS HOT! You can feel the sun practically piercing through your skin. When we arrived, there were ice cold towels and iced tea waiting for us. Bravo to their service :)

It was really tempting for me to lay down on the bed and sleep, but there was not time to lose! After freshening up a little, we went down again to explore more of boracay and have lunch.

YEAY! Exam is over!
After sooo many nights of endless studying, I AM FREE!! While the rest of my class is at Aloha right now celebrating, i however decided not to stay over beacuse i really need my beauty sleep!

For the past few days, i have not slept more than 10 hours- in total! Our living room became my new bedroom and our sofa my bed. I also have very obvious eyebags and pimple growing on my face :( But it's okay, it's over!! Now i am only waiting for my attachment to end. Then i'm off to my, i know what's gonna be a wonderful holiday! :)

I am really excited to go back home, really sorry Bri i won't be here again to celebrate your 20th. Let's have an early celebration aite. I miss the ladies so much, the last time we met was during Chinese New Year! Gotta meet up soon, gotta get a wax!

And as for my Valentine's Day, duh, not really great especially when your heart is far far far away. But it was surprisingly not bad either. I love him so much!

Okay, gotta hit the bed now.

And that's it- my last proper photo for the night. I was wasted after that thanks to my friends who are crazy drinker!! Let me recal: 1 vodka with cranberry, 1 1/4 whiskey dry, 3 sex on the beach, 1 cosmopolitan, all within 1 hour.

Okay luh.. i'm weak!! I am reminded on why one should not get drunk. It's horrible.
I woke up the next day not knowing where's my phone and camera. It was with Jer thank god.

But fun night that night :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!! :)

It's 2009 people!! I wish everyone an exciting new year ahead.

Speaking of exciting, I welcomed the New Year camping with my family. lol. It wasn't really as exciting as it sounds, i was inside the tent most of the time txt-ing. Oh wells.. it's all about the experience.

2008 was pretty hectic. Hectic with school! So i didn't really enjoy it that much. I plan for 2009 to be different & i hope school would cooperate, but i doubt it... still i wanna enjoy 2009!

MY NEW YEAR's RESOLUTION:

1. Stop Procrastinating!
2. Have TIME management.
3. Go to Thailand.
4. Be vain-er than ever!
5. More time for friends/family/love/ ME!

BIRTHDAY POST PART 2! : (damn late :P)

So i turn a year older this year with a very simple celebration with friends and family, filled with sweet treats and girly presents :)

I felt really lazy to plan a birthday celebration this year but even so, the day was made special by the birthday greetings i received from family and friends. It was knowing people remember and care that made it a happy birthday!

Now is not the best time to edit and post pictures because this laptop is lagging so much,
so i am just going to share 3 of my favorite presents this year:

I noticed that the date on this post is a month ago.. it's because i did intend to blog sooner, wayy sooner, but as you all know i am a procrastinator! So bad that i procrastinated to finish this post more than a month later LOL.

October 21 2008,

HAPPY 19th JERLYNN HENG!!! :D

19!!! The last teenage year... and soon it will be my turn.

Really cannot imagine that next year we're 20! I want to cry.

On the 17th we had an early celebration for her. School has started for some of us and that was the only convenient date for all. It was the first time in a long time that we all hanged out together so it was real nice to have everyone there.

Really lazy to type much. So here are the pictures.

Overall i'm just very thankful for you. The past 6 months was no joke, we've been through alot. I understand that it's normal for couples to have issues, but our problems is no doubt harder... x2! And yet we're still here stronger than ever :)

Looking back it amaze me how we did it. Honestly, i never thought it would work. But you have proven to me how much you love me and how serious you are about this relationship just like you've promised.

It's hard that we're so far away from each other. I miss you every single day!

It's the holiday at LAST!!

&& time to catch up on things- family, boyfriend, friends, and my book. I deliberately chose not to work this holiday although my mom constantly pestered me to look for one. -__-"

No i am going to stay home or hang out and enjoy myself. I have kind of neglected those mentioned above the past few months so time to pay back (:

I really miss the girls. Long time no see! I'm sure they missed me :D
The last news i heard is that May has a new puppy! A husky!! SOOO adorable. And as for JER and BRI i'm clueless as to what is happening to them so now is really the chance to catch up!
